Reflection 1

The moment I interred the school I was nervous, but when I stood in front of the class and introduced myself I gained my confidence back. I started to write everything I see from how the students interact with their teacher also what techniques the teacher uses such as saying a sentence in English and then translating it into Arabic if needed. At some point, the teacher asked me and my colleague to help the students during the class and I felt happy when I saw them excited to know the right answer or the right meaning for an English word.

One of the challenging things I faced during this observation week was the students who didn’t interact enough with the teacher, it made me think that it might be hard to pass the material to all the students equally. A solution I found for this problem is to teach the lesson in different ways or use different tools so that I can gain all of the different students’ attention. Moreover, over time I will be able to know each student's strong points, which will help me teach the lessons to them easier.
